About Us

“Jewellery… are you really sure?”

“Yeah, Mum, we really are going to make jewellery.”

General astonishment around the table, 20 February 2020.

Emile was born during the Covid-19 crisis—but it is a beautiful story, a truly beautiful story, we promise. In March 2020, STH Précision, the young company founded barely a year earlier by brothers Sébastien and Alexis, was in serious difficulty. Like many others, it had been hit by the historic collapse of the watchmaking and industrial markets. Thank you, pandemic.

Refusing to panic and putting their minds to work faster than a CNC machine, Alexis and Sébastien began by creating a first pair of earrings, then a second… and the Emile brand was born. With a precision mechanic and a polymechanic as parents, the two “mechanics” were shaped by the intense world of microtechnology and inspired by the captivating universe of fine watchmaking.

Atelier-Émile workshop

Yes, that is quite something!

The graceful Emile lives at Rue Emile-Boéchat 34 in Delémont, in a charismatic, raw industrial workshop between two noisy machines, a can of motor oil, four rough hands and two milling operations. The jewellery is Jura-made from one generation to the next, from A to Z—from design through to production. It has the clean precision of a micron-scale component, the lightness of a precision part and the grace of a mechanical movement. Both contemporary and timeless, each piece has a fresh, understated urban character. Emile is conscious fashion, Jura-style: first, the jewellery is entirely local; second, its quality allows it to endure through the years.

A final micromechanical wink: depending on the design and collection, Emile jewellery is gold-plated, rhodium-plated or made from titanium.
